we get around

I don’t really have time or energy for anything other than short, simple sentences.
Charleston last week…..
It was great. Good to visit Charleston, our most favorite city in the U.S. Good to visit friends. We spent a day at the beach. Only momma got sunburned. The kids loved the beach and the sand and the waves.
Annapolis this week….
Boxes are a major part of my life right now. We are stirring up a lot of dust. Do we really need all this stuff? Our house has many, many, stairs. My mom is coming tomorrow. Praise God. Brenna keeps asking over and over again why we are packing things up. She feels stress about everything being packed away and is worried that the things that we aren’t packing away yet are going to be left behind. She is in a tough place. I am spending lots of time packing. All I really want to do is spend time with precious friends that we are moving away from. In glory no one moves away.
Also, can someone please give me permission to get rid of the shoes that I wore to my prom in 1996? They don’t fit (thank you, Brenna and Joseph). And I can not imagine where I would wear them even if they did. Does anyone else get sentimental over shoes?
Louisville next week…..
June 1st. That’s when we pull out. I am eager to be done with the packing and cleaning and goodbyes and be moved. Not that I am eager to leave, just eager for it to be done. Will I make friends in our neighborhood? Will I like the paint colors that I chose? What will our church be like? Where will I do my grocery shopping? Where in the world will the Lord take us after all this schooling? Hmm…maybe I should just stick to question about Louisville for now.
